There doesn’t seem to be many NASCAR fans out there, at least NASCAR fans have not found my blog. It looks like the only thing readers of my blog are interested in is soccer or football (the American kind, not like soccer in the EU or UK). It’s too bad because I believe some of my auto racing images are not finding the right audience/buyers and if they could find the right audience they could be very useful images.
How about some basketball?

Some early in the day flat light, some afternoon great light and some early evening darkness lighting challenges.

Whenever I get the opportunity to photograph a motorsports event I’m always excited. I love the smell of racing fuel and the sound of race cars. Mostly these guys do this kind of stuff flat-out sideways on dirt, but this time they had to try to keep the cars pointed “mostly” down-track and on bumpy pavement. Welcome to USAC racing and the Copper World Classic.

Playing around with a little Warhol-style images.

Covering the NASCAR event can sure take a toll on your body, walking around in the sun, loud noise and madness that is a big race weekend is rough, but very very fun.

One from the trenches.

I can see why photographers like to shoot fashion. It’s a world filled with impossibly beautiful woman, bright lights, loud music and high-end luxury fashions. Somewhere, someone behind the scenes has to make all that beauty happen . . .
