I have been spending a lot of time shooting sports and really enjoy the fast-paced action, but sometimes it’s nice to slow things down a bit and stop and smell the wildflowers.

Not much smell comes from foxtail grasses growing out of a rock, but I liked the colors and afternoon light and shadows.

This fishhook cactus doesn’t smell like anything, sure has great textures and colors this time of year.

Tons of these hedgehog cactus flowers out right now, very bright colors and a nice mix of soft flowers and sharp cactus.
