Scottsdale Fashion Week’s Thurs. night event was titled Community Night for the emerging designers and local talent from high school fashion and college fashion designers to local accessory designers. Here are a few standouts.
I loved the makeup job on this model, outstanding work.

It seems sometimes the runway models will walk to the end of the runway and turn very quickly and sprint back for the next outfit, that is wrong and very difficult for the photographers to get the shots. If a model walks to the end of the runway, strikes a left pose, shifts to the right pose and gives a good pause for the photographers to get the shots it shows poise and professionalism and it makes the photographers job easier. Doing this will let us get the shots and makes us happy all at the same time. This was one of the “good” models.
Some of the models just look like they just don’t want to be there at all, please smile and act like you are having a good time even if the shoes hurt your feet. This model had a very nice smile.
Even though this model had to wear a dress made out of newspapers she was “working it” and gave good poses and a great smile as well as a wink. Bravo! And thank you for being very good at your job.
Cindy Carrilo of Phoenix College made this dress and it is “off the charts cool!” Fantastic job on this one Cindy. The makeup is very cool as well.
I wish the model would have held her poses a little longer, but still that dress is so very cool.
